For the first time in the city’s history, the Super Bowl comes to town, and Salina Raymond is a part of the historic occasion. As the chief creative officer for the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee, it’s been her job to put together the look of the committee and its offerings. “The committee is the NFL’s party committee, party planners,” she says.

In 2022, Raymond joined the committee, which serves as the liaison between the National Football League and the city of Las Vegas, and “the only thing they had was the logo,” she says. “I’ve designed everything since then.”

Raymond has an impressive resume when it comes to design, working on the creative teams for MGM Resorts International and Cirque du Soleil. “Design is my path; it’s where my passion is,” she says. When thinking about how to present the Super Bowl visually, Raymond says she drew inspiration from the city. “I thought about Vegas,” she says. “We thought about the lights in Vegas; the Vegas sign was a big inspiration, too. … I picked purple because it’s a luxury ... color and when you think of Vegas you think of the money, the fun, the party, and you want to be treated like you’re royalty, and that color just brings out that vibe.”

Guests in town for Big Game week can see Raymond’s designs all over the city, from billboards to parties and special events. “When I moved to Vegas, my one goal was to work on the Strip, and I did that,” she says. “Getting to see my artwork on marquees was such a big moment, and now I get to see my artwork at Allegiant Stadium and leading up to the Super Bowl, press conferences—it’s just awesome. It’s such a pivotal moment in my career, as an artist just to see your designs everywhere. I’m happy that I was a part of this journey.”
