Edward “Trey” Roski III—CEO, founder, co-creator and executive producer of BattleBots: Destruct-A-Thon at Caesars Entertainment Studios at Horseshoe Las Vegas—is making the world a better place, one robot battle at a time.

“This is about engineering,” he says. “This is about kids and education. This is about making heroes out of smart people. This is about doing something right. And to me you don’t need to be famous to change the world.”

Roski launched the BattleBots brand with a group of lifelong friends (they incorporated the brand in 1999) who shared a love of robots, technology and creativity. The BattleBots television show was the viewers’ first introduction into the world of robot battles, then last year the group brought their show to a Vegas stage, specially built for BattleBots: Destruct-A-Thon. “It’s an hour and a half and it’s like the television show,” Roski says. “You’re going to see five to eight fights.”

You can spot Roski, also known by his stage name “Red Hot Roski,” driving some of the robots in the show. “I love machinery,” he says. “I love driving. I love making machines move.”

Roski also loves the joy the show brings not only to the audience but to the contestants. “The real secret behind this are the engineers, the artists,” he says. “These are the smartest people in the world. They can build anything. They’re amazing. It’s inspiring.”

Product: Souvenirs

“We’re the only show in Vegas where we destroy the cast every single night,” Roski jokingly says. But guests can still take a piece of the cast home with them by purchasing mini replicas of some of the most popular robots used in the show, like the Witch Doctor and Bronco. Guests can also buy branded souvenirs.

Benefit: Guests can purchase Platinum Club tickets that include a post-show backstage tour with the robots.
