Ever since the second time the members of Led Zeppelin reunited (for the Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary concert in 1988), there’s been only one person who could fill in for late drummer John Bonham, and that’s his son Jason. Jason Bonham has been behind the drum kit for every live Zeppelin show since then, and whenever the band is rumored to be reuniting again, there’s no question of who’ll be playing the drums. Although core members Robert Plant and Jimmy Page have shot down the reunion rumors, Bonham is back on the road honoring his father’s legacy with his Led Zeppelin Experience, playing the band’s first two albums in their entirety.

The music is only part of the show, however, and the live experience also includes video of vintage Zeppelin performances and home movies shot by John Bonham himself, with the younger Bonham sharing personal stories of his father. In the tradition of virtual duets between singers, Bonham also performs a drum duet with footage of his late father on the Zeppelin classic “Moby Dick.”

As devoted as he is to honoring his father, though, Bonham is a serious talent in his own right. He’s performed with artists including Sammy Hagar, Paul Rodgers, UFO and Foreigner. Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience is more than a Zeppelin tribute band; it’s a Jason Bonham concert.
