The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has played host to some pretty major divas, including resident performers Celine Dion, Cher, Bette Midler and Shania Twain. But the original diva, the one who started it all, Diana Ross, comes to town for a Colosseum show.

Like those other performers, Ross is a phenomenal singer with a career that spans decades, beginning with her stint in The Supremes in the early 1960s. As a member of The Supremes and as a solo artist, Ross had dozens of hits and emerged as one of the most influential figures in soul and R&B music.

After leaving The Supremes, Ross became one of the biggest stars of disco in the 1970s, and she’s continued releasing albums all the way through 2006’s I Love You, her most recent collection of new material. Although it’s been a few years since her last album, Ross has never stopped touring, all while picking up accolades like a Lifetime Achievement Grammy and the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors (not to mention her 1988 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). As divas go, Ross can be considered the godmother of them all.
