Just because you’re in Las Vegas doesn’t mean you can’t take a tour of all that New York City has to offer. Yes, right on the Strip find some of the best of sports, shopping, dining, celebrity and more, straight out of the Big Apple. Here, nine of our favorites.

1. Brooklyn Bowl

A bowling alley, concert venue and restaurant with fare from the Bromberg brothers’ Blue Ribbon all rolled into one comes by way of Brooklyn. This 80,000-square-foot venue at The Linq fits 2,000 with five bars pouring 12 craft beers, including Brooklyn specialties.

2. Tao

You never have to set foot outside Tao to have a good time. It’s a pool party, a restaurant and a nightclub all rolled into a 60,000-square-foot complex at The Venetian. Music permeates the air at this much larger version of the New York outpost. Your odds of bumping into a celebrity are pretty high here.

Raos

3. Rao’s

The original Rao’s in East Harlem is one of the toughest reservations to snag in town, but the version at Caesars Palace features two rooms with 10 tables in each, a much easier reservation to secure. Find a bocce ball court on the patio and the same traditional southern Italian fare on the menu.

4. Jersey Boys and Rock of Ages

Skip the Broadway lines and prices and head to the Strip for jukebox musicals. Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys brings the music of The Four Seasons in a documentary-style show at Paris Las Vegas while ’80s hair bands get their due in Rock of Ages at The Venetian.

5. Andrew Dice Clay

Hickory, dickory dock. Any fan of the Diceman knows how his adult version of this nursery rhyme, and many others, ends. The Brooklyn native has a welcomed resident show in Vegas, this year at Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel, where he stops in for some performances, Sept. 18-21.

6. Barneys New York

Shop luxury brands such as St. Laurent, Balenciaga and Burberry Prorsum at the three-level Barneys New York at The Palazzo. The store got its start at Seventh Avenue and West 17th Street in New York City when Barney Pressman pawned his wife’s ring for $500 to open Barney’s Clothes.

7. New York-New York

The Big Apple doesn’t get better representation than this resort. The New York skyline of the 1940s creates the façade of the building with towers such as the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. A lake dubbed New York Harbor has a 150-foot tall replica of the Statue of Liberty.

8. Las Vegas 51s

The boys of summer hope they’ll climb their way up to the major leagues playing for this AAA affiliate of the New York Mets. Roberto Alomar and Tony Gwynn are just two of the names who played at the 9,334-capacity field at Cashman Field just north of downtown before they became famous.

Serendipity

9. Serendipity 3

Named for three princes from the island of Serendip, this New York classic specializes in Frrrozen Hot Chocolate. Even Jackie O was unsuccessful at getting the recipe (but you can find it in the cookbook Sweet Serendipity). Drugstore sundaes, footlong hot dogs and caviar hamburgers round out the menu.
