In the U.S., British singer-songwriter David Gray is still probably best known for his 2000 hit “Babylon,” from his fourth album White Ladder. Thanks to some support from Dave Matthews, Gray broke through in America with the ubiquitous single, while also expanding his fame in his native country, where he’d previously been known mostly among folk-rock fans.

And although his fame hasn’t been as extensive in the U.S., Gray has remained a huge draw in the U.K., with multiple chart-topping albums and top 20 singles, and four nominations for the Brit Awards.

Gray has continued releasing acclaimed albums, including his latest, this past June’s Mutineers, a collaboration with producer and songwriter Andy Barlow, known for his work with artists like Placebo and Damien Rice. All Music said that Mutineers “makes a striking initial impact then seeps in deeply,” and Britain’s Q Magazine called it “easily his best work” since “Babylon.” Gray brings songs from Mutineers on the road, along with “Babylon” and other past hits including “The One I Love,” “This Year’s Love” and “Sail Away.”
