Always one of the most talked-about conventions of the year, MAGIC returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center and Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Aug. 18–20.

The international event, which draws in excess of $200 million in orders per day, is the place for buyers and brands to locate the most up-and-coming fashions in men’s and women’s apparel, footwear and accessories over three days of shows, events, seminars and parties.

This year, MAGIC’s seminars are as wide-ranging as ever, focusing on everything from denim and how to bring vintage looks into the present to the impact of online and social media on fashion and how to open a successful retail store. Other events deal with how Hollywood costume designers source their designs, the latest in British footwear and the influence of 3-D printing on prototype design.

Even with the abundance of peripheral events, it all comes down to the 10 curated shows, exhibiting everything from indie brands and designs from footwear innovators to manufacturers and fabric vendors.
