Since leaving her position as co-host of The View in 2013 (after 16 years on the panel, longer than anyone other than creator Barbara Walters), Joy Behar has mostly focused on returning to her roots in stand-up comedy, and she’s part of the Lipshtick series at The Venetian, spearheaded by Whitney Cummings, which showcases female comedians. Behar could probably teach some of her fellow Lipshtick performers a thing or two, since she started working as a stand-up comedian in the early 1980s.

In addition to her years on The View, Behar headlined her own talk shows on HLN and Current, and was an occasional guest host for Larry King. Although she’s been channeling her outspokenness into her stand-up lately, that doesn’t mean she’s holding back when she has an opinion on something. Following the recent host shake-up on The View, Behar has been trading barbs with her former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck and making her opinion known on who she thinks should be joining the show’s panel. She may not be on TV every day anymore, but Behar still has plenty to say.

The Venetian, 10 p.m. Aug. 22, 7:30 p.m. Aug. 23, starting at $52.25 plus tax and fee. 702.414.9000
